While staying at Select Braemar Lodge, guests are ideally-located to take advantage of the therapeutic thermal waters of Hanmer Springs, just 10 minutes away from our luxury lodge accommodation.
Dating back to ancient times, the therapeutic and relaxation qualities of communal bathing in hot mineral pools has long been known and is again becoming highly popular. The newly upgraded Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa is the perfect spot to truly unwind.
Family Friendly
At the Hanmer Springs hot pools, children (and the young at heart!) are catered for, with a separate area featuring waterfalls, animal slides and heated waterslides. This is a great local to keep the whole family entertained.
Team Building at the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools
Include a trip to the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools as part of your meeting or conference at Select Braemar Lodge. Your delegates will love the relaxation the pool provides! The visit could also be a great start (or end) to a team building day in Hanmer Springs, getting to know each other.
Relax in Silk Waters
Immerse yourself in the warm mineral waters of the Hanmer Springs hot pools, whilst surrounded by native bush and fresh mountain air. Here the water is an ideal 36 to 38ºC, and contains a variety of minerals such as sulphur, sodium chloride, calcium, carbonates, magnesium and potassium – giving many patrons relief from arthritis and similar ailments. Such thermal pools are also popular in treating orthopaedic conditions such as bone fractures and soft tissue injuries.
The Hanmer Springs hot springs offer four distinct rock pools, each interconnected with thermal streams. Hygiene is paramount here and all water is constantly filtered. Newly-created is the Rainbow Pool which features a number of thermal water spouts, perfect for you to relax beneath and soothe neck and shoulders. In the evening, this pool is illuminated with a rainbow of colours created through fibre optic lighting.
In addition, there are three large concrete hexagonal sulphur pools (containing no chlorine); the water in these pools has a wonderful soft and silky feel to it and has a temperature range of 40 to 42º Celsius. There are also four private indoor thermal pools that can be privately booked by guests for 30 minutes to one hour periods for a minimum of two persons. These private pools contain their own shower and change area, and have a temperature that varies between 39 and 40º Celsius.
